furthest (also farthest) used as superlative of FAR(Cf. ↑far). ADJECTIVE 1) situated at the greatest distance. 2) covering the greatest area or distance.
ADVERB 1) at or by the greatest distance. 2) over the greatest distance or area. 3) to the most extreme or advanced point.
